The earlier version showed the Onehunga route ending at Henderson. The new version ends at Penrose…. leaving the old and infirm having to clamber up and over a bridge in all weathers to make connections instead of simply crossing a platform at other stations
If I go from Kingsland (a central suburb) to the airport, then according to this map: change at Karanga-a-Hape, change at Newmarket; and change at Puhinui … Google Maps says this is 1h 4m. Alternatively, drive = 24 mins. What wd you do?
Well I’d stay on the train, go through the news CRL tunnels, and then change at Puhinui. This is a two seat journey, which presently is a three seat from Kingsland to the Airport (having to change at either Newmarket or Britomart and then again at Puhinui).
I wish there was an Airport to Puhini Train that links into Onehunga and Onehunga goes all the way to Mt Albert. making Puhini a Major train station like a secondary Britomart. Link in Hamilton so you can get to Auckland Airport from Hamilton and Pukekohe.

If the map drawer has no idea how to draw the line’s direction what hope do ordinary commuters have?!

Not sure if those times are right but if only we had light rail down Dominion Rd you could walk to a station there.

Like this layout, makes sense
East and south, south and west
My Albert, Onehunga, Airport, Manukau – join ’em up.
Looking at the map it’s not rocket science, is it?

So the main station is?.???? Can not see Britomart anymore why have you changed it?????????
Those people that go to Middlemore on Eastern will now have to change lines. Thanks, way to look after your hospital workers…
