One of the cars is launching / retrieving a boat. That’s allowed. The other car? Obviously just couldn’t be bothered getting out to look at the beach.
Or maybe they’re helping the other guy.
No reason to have their car on the beach though.
As soon as one person does it, it becemes so much more acceptable for the rest to also doe it – “broken windows” mechanism.
It makes the office workers feel more outdoorsy and rugged. They don’t have to waddle an extra 25-50m from the carpark. Middle-class dreary suburban overt status statement on show. Yawn.
An opportunity to draw road markings around the car, or set up picnickers around the car the car and block it in….
Really bugs me to see motor vehicles on the beach.
Bury it under a big sandcastle 🙂
“Your car? Nah, mate. No cars here – it’s the BEACH man, why would you expect a car here?”
Gotta justify that 4wd…
Its called crushing the pipis, toheroa or any other sand-dwelling shellfish you can name.
